It has a luxurious opaque ruby red color with tears that glide down firmly and slowly. On the nose, it has a dominant, sumptuous bouquet of sweet spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise, accompanied by the aromas of caramel, coffee beans and chocolate. On the palate, all-present baked cherries and plums with buttered bread crust. A powerful wine of silky tannins in a firm grasp with a strong body, leaving a lasting impression of the palate.

Food pairing recommendation: Excellent with aged cheese such as parmesan, gorgonzola, and pecorino. Also good after meals as a digestif, or with sweet bites of dark-chocolate pralines.
